Last weekend my hubby and I had an overnight getaway to Indianapolis. It’s not too often that we get more than a few hours to ourselves, so we took advantage of it! The trip was initially planned because of the John Legend concert Friday night (amazing voice, unforgettable evening), and we did some shopping and also had dinner at Ruth’s Chris beforehand. (You might already know a little about my weekend if you follow me on Instagram.) Saturday morning we had some time before making the two-hour drive back home so we visited some old friends and did some more shopping. 😉
I lived in Indy for ten years but never visited the Midland Arts & Antiques Market, which is in an old warehouse downtown. I had no idea what I was missing!
There were so many amazing things there. I grabbed my husband’s cell phone to take pics (mine was full from the concert- and about 1000 pics of our boys) so these aren’t the best quality but you get the idea. 😉 We walked about 2/3 of the first floor before we had to leave, so I can’t wait to go back someday and do some more treasure hunting. These are photos of my favorite things, some unique things, and some creepy things. (HA) Enjoy!
I fell in love with the horse coat hook rack below, but there was no price on it. I had a max price in my mind and took it to the counter. They called the vendor and his ideal price was double what mine was… I was so bummed. 🙁
So what did I end up buying? Since this was an impromptu shopping trip I just bought a few things…
This vintage scale, three beakers, and a kitchen design catalog from 1944 (which I’ll share more in-depth later).
Have you done any treasure hunting lately?
Is there anything in the photos above that you absolutely love or hate? Please tell me!

Marsha, have fun! I believe there’s another location north of Indy in Carmel if you live closer to that one.

What a treasure trove!! I love the green drawer thing, red side table and the Great Britan stamped couch. What a fun place to shop!
