This post is brought to you by Leather Hide Store, but all opinions are my own.
Hey guys! I’m back with a furniture makeover today and it’s a pretty cool one, if I do say so. 😉
I got this little midcentury table at a barn sale a couple weeks ago for $6. Not a bad deal!
I decided to paint the body of it white (Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Pure White), protect it with clear wax, and then use this gorgeous chocolate brown leather from Leather Hide Store to cover the drawer fronts:
I flipped the leather over and traced the drawers with a pen. Then I got to cutting… I used my old sewing scissors and I definitely had to put some muscle into it! The leather I chose is thick and very high quality. (I took the next few pics at night when all three boys were finally asleep and I could get some work done…haha)
I glued the leather on with E6000, set a bunch of heavy books on top, and let it sit overnight.
And here she is…
I just L.O.V.E. the texture of the leather!
I’d love to know what you think of my midcentury table makeover.
I couldn’t resist staging it with some of my favorite vintage accessories.
Here’s a handy before/after collage if you want to pin it:
Now for the fun stuff… how would you like to win a $50 credit to Leather Hide Store for your own project?
Enter below through Tuesday, March 15th (U.S. only). Winner will be randomly chosen and contacted on 3/16/16 and will have 24 hours to respond.
Good luck! xo

In our recent move, a few doors and tabletops (laminate furniture) were damaged. This would be a great way to not only repair but improve those pieces!

What an awesome idea to use leather on the drawer fronts of this dresser. It gives it a masculine look that will look great in a bedroom or study. That leather is so pretty and I’ll bet it smelled great while you were working with it.
