Hello my lovely friends! I’d love to know if there’s anything you collect. Perhaps something that has sentimental meaning to you or maybe it’s something pretty and makes your heart flutter when you add another to your collection.
Today my blogging friends and I are sharing our personal collections with you. At the bottom of this post you’ll find sneak peeks and links to their blogs – be sure to visit them when you’re done here!
I collect a few things. Here are my vintage and antique cameras:
They’ve come from yard sales, flea markets, and an estate sale.
It’s not that I’m an avid photographer or anything. I like old cameras because of the story I wish they could tell – the places they’ve been, the photos they’ve taken, the memories made that may now be forgotten.
Next is proof of my love affair with turquoise vintage glass:
The tall bottle was my first piece a few years ago, and my collection has been growing ever since. I can’t help but buy them when I see them (they’re usually pretty inexpensive) and they look so darn gorgeous when grouped together…
The only one I didn’t purchase is the light turquoise triangle-shaped dish below. My grandmother gave it to me when I was there visiting for my grandfather’s funeral last year, so it has special meaning to me. (Now SHE has some amazing collections!)
I’ve also started a small collection of vintage tins – I have these two bright tins that are full of color and texture…
and this one with a unique shape and images of European landmarks.
Lastly, I like interesting knick-knack type decor, especially for staging photographs. The three on the left are from Anthropologie and the two on the right are vintage perfume bottles.
Now I’d love to hear what you collect! Please leave me a comment below and tell me.
