Hi friends- I thought I’d give you all a break from the Christmas projects today.
I got an email a couple weeks ago from a local lady who wanted to give her teenage daughter a chair for Christmas. (Does that technically make this a “Christmas project?” Okay, maybe…)
She wanted something black and French themed – just my style! 😉
Since I had already depleted my huge stash of chairs, I searched high and low and thankfully found this perfect candidate for a chair makeover:

Not the greatest pic, but you get the idea – very very brown.
I removed the seat and painted all the wood in Graphite Chalk Paint, followed by Annie Sloan’s dark wax.

I used some leftover French fabric from this chair makeover and recovered the seat.

Done and done.
I hope my client’s daughter loves her new chair!

I love the floral detail on the legs and the back of the chair. <3

Have you had time for any furniture makeovers lately?
I’m working on one more, and hoping to have it finished before 2015 – fingers crossed!
