Washi Tape Christmas Tree Art

Christmas is only three days away!  Holy cow it snuck up fast this year, didn’t it?  Thankfully all of my shopping is done but I still have to wrap it all, and get my house ready for hosting Christmas Eve dinner.  I had a little time this weekend though to make some fun Christmas art.

Supplies:

  • 8×10 Canvas
  • Several styles of festive washi tape (I bought mine from Pick Your Plum)
  • Sheet of white card stock
  • Sheet of green card stock
  • Jute cord
  • Scissors

I taped sections of washi tape onto the white card stock and then traced circles and freehanded the other shapes, and cut them all out as ornaments.

Then I taped green chevron washi tape onto the right side of the canvas for some contrast.  I cut the green card stock to look like the side of a Christmas tree and taped it onto the canvas and then the ornaments on top.

Then I made some bunting by folding washi tape over the jute cord and cutting a triangle out of the bottom.

I think it adds a fun element to my Christmas decor.  😉  Even if you don’t have a canvas, you could create this project with just card stock and then put it in a frame.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Jen
